Ensuring that new teachers can meet the many challenges of today's classrooms by strengthening teacher education.

Welcome to the archived website for the 2000-2005 University of South Carolina Teacher Quality Collaborative Project.

This website primarily reflects work from teacher leaders in seven Professional Development School sites in the Columbia SC. The site also contains useful information about how teachers used inquiry teaching strategies to enhance student learning and motivate students in high needs schools.

There are also links to Power Points and articles related to programs and research sponsored by the Title II DOE Teacher Quality Partnership funding and the four partner institutions across the state. The Partners included: The University of South Carolina, Furman University, Benedict College and Winthrop University.

The website for the current project, the Diverse Pathways in Teacher Preparation Project, is at http://tqp.ed.sc.edu/ . Please stop by!
