Horrell Hill Elementary School "Rounds"
Fall 2001 - Spring 2002


The "Rounds" model of professional development was implemented at Horrell Hill during the fall with visits to Ms. Saudah Collins' 2nd grade and Ms. Danielle Morrison's 5th grade classes.

Ms. Morrison brings her students into a semi-circle to discuss the book they are currently studying.

Dr. Bruce Field and Dr. Jane Zenger from the USC College of Education along with Dr. Christy Friend from the USC english Dept., and Horrell Hill Principal Parthenia Satterwhite served as members of the tripartite to observe during the "rounds" visit.

During the debriefing, Ms. Morrison explains her classroom management techniques to the interns.
